One of the nation’s most prestigious wrestling events each fall is the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals. This year it will return to Hyvee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa on Oct. 28 - 30. Also, for the first time, the Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase will run alongside the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals. Both events will feature standard NHFS period lengths for High School divisions.


Registration for both of these popular events begins on August 22 with a Flash Sale, which provides the lowest price entry fees available for those who decide to register right away. This Flash Sale ends on September 1, so take advantage of these savings by signing up right away

In 2021, USA Wrestling created the National High School Recruiting Showcase series as an opportunity to let the top high school athletes showcase their talent in front of college coaches.


Only athletes who have qualified can enter the National High School Recruiting Showcase.

The National High School Recruiting Showcase event has previously been held in the spring. The decision was made to shift the boys event to the fall in order to help athletes accelerate their recruiting process.


In the spring of 2022, the Boys National Recruiting Showcase featured over 125 state high school champions, Prep School champions or NHSCA All-Americans, plus numerous 2022 state place winners. The 2021 National High School Recruiting Showcase included 110 boys state champions from 36 different states.


The Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals event has sold out in several divisions in 2021 and 2022, with 44 different states represented.


High School boys who are not qualified for the High School recruiting showcase should enter the 9th-10th and 11th -12th grade divisions of the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals.

Note: The 2023 Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase, contested in freestyle, will once again be held in the spring at South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nev., as part of the U.S. Open Championships event.


There are four deadlines for entry fee pricing, which you should consider when making your plans. Hotel Discount codes can only be applied during the Flash Sale ending Sept. 1 and during the Early Bird Registration, ending Oct. 1 at 11:59 PM MT. The other registration deadlines to consider are:

Early Bird Registration Deadline: Oct. 1 at 11:59 PM MT- $65 with hotel code, $75 without hotel code

Online Pre-Registration Deadline: Oct. 17 at 11:59 PM MT- $85

Late Online Registration Deadline: Oct. 29 at Noon CT - $100

All athletes and coaches who register prior to Oct. 17 will receive a custom tournament credential!!!

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION


• The 2022-2023 USA Wrestling Membership year begins Aug. 22, 2022, and goes through Aug. 31, 2023. Athletes and coaches MUST have updated membership before registering for the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals & Boys National High School Recruiting Showcase.


• Coaching bands will be on sale starting Aug. 22 for $25. Athletes and coaches who register before Oct. 14 will receive custom tournament credentials!


• College coaches interested in attending are free of charge but must have a current USA Wrestling Membership for the 2022-2023 year. Coaches must be part of a college staff. Prior to receiving the credential, email Christina Hargrove at CHargrove@usawrestling.org to be added to the credential list of college coaches. You will be asked to show a college business card or be found on the institution’s website as one of the wrestling coaches.
