Early bird rates are still now available for the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals at a discounted price. This popular and growing national folkstyle event will be hosted at Hyvee Hall in Des Moines, Iowa, October 29-31.

There will be no on-site registration this year. USA Wrestling does not charge for adjusting weight classes, even at weigh-ins, so sign up early to guarantee your spot in the event.
Brian Keck tragically passed away at the age 48 during a trip to Mexico in November, 2019. Keck worked with USA Wrestling to develop the Preseason Nationals in 2008, a major early season national folkstyle wrestling event for athletes of all ages. The first event was held in Des Moines, then spent nine years in Cedar Falls, Iowa, before returning to Des Moines in 2018. During its 12 years with Keck’s involvement, the competition grew in size and prestige. This event last year hosted 2,324 athletes with 46 states represented.

2021 USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals Event Schedule
The tournament kicks off at 10 a.m. (CT) on Friday with the two high school boys divisions (9th-10 grade and 11th-12th grade). The two high school boys division complete on Saturday, and the boys middle school divisions (5th-6th grade, 7th-8th grade), plus the 3rd-4th grade boys and the High School Girls divisions begin on Saturday. The event concludes Sunday with the all of the boys Middle School and youth divisions finals, as well as the girls High School and youth divisions finals.

AWARDS:
The top-eight winners in each division will earn USA Wrestling Preseason Nationals All-America status and receive custom medals. An Outstanding Wrestler will be awarded to one champion in each division.
COACHES BANDS:
• Teams will receive TWO complimentary coaches floor pass for every TEN athletes pre-registered into the Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals. In order to receive complimentary coaches floor pass, please email Christina Hargrove at chargrove@usawrestling.org by Friday, October 15th.
• Coaches Bands/Coach Limit: Coaches passes will be sold ONLINE ONLY for $25 until Wednesday, October 28th. To videotape any match at mat side, the operator must be the certified coach in the corner.
• Middle School and Below Coaches: Floor passes will only be issued to those individuals with a current USAW Leader Membership Card and are a minimum USAW NCEP Copper certified (photo I.D. required).
• High School Coaches: Floor passes will only be issued to those individuals with a current USAW Leader Membership Card and are a minimum USAW NCEP Bronze certified (photo I.D. required).

This coincides with the start of the 2021-22 USA Wrestling membership year, which opened up online on August 25 at usawmembership.com. Participants competing at the USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals will need to have a new 2021-22 membership.
