Hussar places fifth in Junior Beach World Championships in Romania on Friday

Zoe Hussar of Perrysburg, Ohio placed fifth in the women’s division at the Junior Beach World Championships in Constanta, Romania on Friday.
Hussar had a 1-2 record in Pool B of her weight class, placing third in her four-athlete pool. She did not advance into the semifinals round.
Hussar opened with a 3-2 win over Zoe Klunder of the Netherlands. She dropped her next two battles, falling to Bianca Andreias of Romania, 3-2 and Olena Nikitinska of Ukraine, 3-0.
Hussar was the only entry for Team USA in the Junior Beach World Championships, which included both women’s and men’s divisions.
Today was the completion of the Cadet and Junior Beach World Championships. For the first time at the age-group Beach World Championships, the U.S. entered a team with Cadet and Junior athletes. Four U.S. age-group women represented our nation as a team this year.
Starting on Friday, the Constanta Beach Wrestling World Series Final will be held in Constanta, with Senior men and Senior women entered to compete.
The United States has entered a team of five men and two women in the competition, which will be held on Friday and Saturday.
