Registration opens Wednesday for 2023 U.S. Open, presented by FloWrestling, at South Point Hotel in Las Vegas, April 26-30; Book rooms today!

USA Wrestling is set to host the 2023 U.S. Open, presented by FloWrestling, which is returning to the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, April 26 - April 30. This premier multi-age event on the USA Wrestling national schedule returns to one of top sports and tourist locations on the planet.


The event will feature the national tournaments for the Senior (MFS, WFS, GR), U20 (MFS, GR), U17 (MFS, GR), U15 (MFS, GR), UWW Futures (MFS, GR), Girls High School National Recruiting Showcase and Masters divisions.


The entire tournament will be live streamed on FloWrestling

Note: the age-group women’s freestyle national tournaments will be held in Spokane, Washington in April 2023

Registration for all divisions opens January 11 and will run through April 23. Save money off your registration by booking your hotel room through the South Point. BOOK ROOMS NOW, REGISTER LATER.

Room reservations and discount codes are not guaranteed after this block sells out. The deadline to book rooms for discounted rates at South Point is March 20, 2023, or when the block sells out. All participants will have a credential created with their photo on it. The deadline for credentials without a penalty is April 7. Profile pictures must be uploaded for a credential to be approved.


The Senior National tournaments at the U.S. Open will serve as a qualifier for the World Team Trials. For more information on Team USA Senior World selection criteria, visit TheMat.com.


This will also serve as the Cadet World Team Trials for men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman, and will be a part of the U15 men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman Pan American Championships selection. More details will be announced soon.


The High School National Recruiting Showcase for girls returns for the third year. This event is in freestyle wrestling, which is the collegiate style for women, and will be watched closely by college coaches and recruiters. The qualification standards for the Girls Showcase are:

o All High School State Champions (any year)

o 2022 High School State Placers

o National Prep Champions (any year)

o Placer at NHSCA Virginia Beach High School Nationals (any year)

o 2022 USA Wrestling National All-American Placer 1st-8th: (Preseason Nationals, Boys and Girls National High School Recruiting Showcase, Women’s Freestyle Nationals, Girls and Boys Folkstyle Nationals, and 16u/ Junior Nationals)

o 2021/2022 UWW U15 and U17 National Placer (Must be currently enrolled in High School)


In order to gain access to the competition floor, coaches must have a USA Wrestling Leader membership and Bronze or higher coaches certification. Coach credentials can only be ordered online using the USA Wrestling membership system. Plan ahead due to the membership and background check requirements. Advance coaches registration is important because all credentials will be produced prior to the event with headshots of each accredited coach.


Tickets can be purchased at the South Point Box Office, which will be available soon. Ticket prices are as follows:

The U.S. Open, presented by FloWrestling, will be conducted following the requirements of the state and local health authorities, as well as using the safety provisions of the USA Wrestling Return to Events Guidelines.
