2022 Cliff Keen National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships set for Adrian on March 4-5, Regional Qualifiers, February 19-20

MANHEIM, Pa. – The National Collegiate Women’s Wrestling Coalition (NCWWC) announced the sites for their four regional and national championship tournaments for the 2021-22 season. The regional sites remain the same as they were in 2020-21 and the competitions will take place Saturday and Sunday, February 19-20.


"On behalf of the Leadership Group, we are excited to announce this year's hosts and dates for the regional qualifying tournaments. With the continuation of new program announcements, it has become necessary to develop the regional qualifying concept, and we appreciate the universities for their help in hosting this year's events," stated Leadership Group Chair Cliff Cushard.

The Northeast Regional Championship will be hosted by Gannon University in Erie, PA. The competition takes place on Sunday, February 20, starting at 9:00 a.m. The Northeast Regional Championship will be contested by the 12 teams listed alphabetically below. Tiffin University won the inaugural Northeast Regional championship last spring.

TEAMS | Adrian College, Albion College, Davenport University, Delaware Valley University, East Stroudsburg University, Elmira College, Gannon University, Hiram College, Lock Haven University, New Jersey City University, Sacred Heart University, Tiffin University

The Northwest Regional Championship will be hosted by UW-Stevens Point in Stevens Point, WI. The competition is taking place on Sunday, February 20, starting at 10:00 a.m. The Northwest Regional Championship will be contested by the ten teams listed alphabetically below. North Central College won the inaugural Northeast Regional championship last spring.

TEAMS | Augsburg University, Aurora University, Carthage College, Lakeland University, North Central College, Northern Michigan University, Pacific University, Simon Fraser University, Trine University, UW-Stevens Point

The Southeast Regional Championship will be hosted by Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. The competition is taking place on Saturday, February 19, starting at 10:00 a.m. The Southeast Regional Championship will be contested by the eight teams listed below in alphabetical order. King University won the inaugural Northeast Regional championship last spring.

TEAMS | Emmanuel College (GA), Emory & Henry College, Ferrum College, Greensboro College, King University, Limestone University, Lincoln Memorial University, Presbyterian College

The Southwest Regional Championships will be hosted by McKendree University in Lebanon, IL. The competition is taking place on Sunday, February 20, starting at 10:00 a.m. The Southwest Regional Championship will be contested by the ten teams listed alphabetically below. McKendree University won the inaugural Northeast Regional championship last spring.

TEAMS | Augustana University (Ill.), Chadron State University, Colorado Mesa University, Fontbonne University, Lindenwood University, McKendree University, Schreiner University, University of the Ozarks, Westminster College (Mo.), William Jewell College


The top five finishers in each of the ten weight classes will advance to the NCWWC National Championships held at Adrian College on March 4-5. Traditional NCAA brackets will be used at each regional site and for the NCWWC Championship. McKendree won their second straight national title last March.
