Today on Twitter, Iowa’s three-time NCAA champion Spencer Lee announced that he will not compete in the next week’s Olympic Team Trials in Fort Worth, Texas. Lee claimed his third national title last weekend for the Hawkeyes and revealed to the media that he tore his ACL during the Big Ten finals and had previously torn his other ACL. At the time, he believed he was still going to wrestle for a spot in the 2021 Olympic Games at 57 kg. However, it wasn’t in the cards for the two-time Junior World champion and 2014 Cadet World champion.
