Junior National Duals men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman All-Tournament Teams announced

The 2021 Junior National Duals All-Tournament teams for men in freestyle and Greco-Roman have been announced, based upon results from the Junior National Duals held in Tulsa, Okla. this past weekend


Athletes who went undefeated in their dual meet matches in a specific style qualified for the All-Tournament Team, needing a minimum of victories to be included.


In Greco-Roman, there were 33 athletes on the All-Tournament Team, representing 15 different states. Illinois had the most All-Tournament team members in Greco-Roman with five, followed by Minnesota with four. States with three Greco-Roman All-Tournament athletes were Texas, Oklahoma, California and North Dakota.


In freestyle, there were 36 athletes on the All-Tournament Team, representing 17 states. Oklahoma and Minnesota had the most with five All-Tournament freestyle wrestlers. Iowa and Georgia were next with four team members. Coming in with two freestyle All-Tournament team athletes were Colorado, Illinois, Indiana and Alabama.


In total, there were seven athletes who made the All-Tournament Team in both styles: Otto Black of Team Colorado (106/113), Kannon Webster of Illinois Junior GR/FS (120), Wilfried Tanefeu of North Dakota Blue (126), Carter Young of Oklahoma Outlaws (138), Pierson Manville of Pennsylvania (145), Will Miller of Team Alabama (160) and Gavin Nelson of Minnesota Blue (220).


Winning the most matches of the undefeated wrestlers was Otto Black of Team Colorado, who won 17 matches combined in the two styles.


The All-Tournament Teams for the Women’s Junior Duals and the Girls 16U Duals were released on Monday.
