Greco United slated to host eight-man 67 kg bracket at Saturday's Capitol Cup

STERLING, Va.- Greco United is proud to present the inaugural Capitol Cup, streaming live on Rokfin, this Saturday, February 27 at 10 a.m. EST. Greco United has partnered with Hammer Gear, Diver Style Wrestling, the New York Athletic Club and Top of the Podium to put on an exciting card with top athletes from all age-levels and styles. The Capitol Cup will feature elite men's and women's Senior-level wrestlers, along with top Cadet, Junior and university-level athletes.


The main event consists of an eight-man Greco-Roman challenge bracket at 67kg. The champion will bring home a $1000 cash prize. Below, check out the competing wrestlers:

Additionally, the co-main event will be a women’s Greco-Roman exhibition match wrestled at the 62 kg between Xochitl Mota-Pettis and Koral Sugiyama. This matchup will create an exciting new style for our women athletes and highlight their incredible skills. Mota-Pettis is a 2020 Senior Nationals runner-up and a 2020 U23 Nationals champion. Sugiyama is a 2014 Cadet World Team member and a multiple-time Senior Nationals place winner.


The undercard consists of select freestyle and Greco matches ranging from Cadet through Senior-level athletes. The matchups include some of the top age-level athletes in the eastern region and nation.
