14U National Duals return to Oaks, Pa., June 11-14, with Pennsylvania Blue the returning champion in both styles

The 14U National Duals return to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks in Oaks, Pa., June 11-14. The tournament will feature dual meet competition between state association teams for boys in the two Olympic disciplines, men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman.

The returning champion in both styles is from the host state, Pennsylvania Blue, which won both disciplines last summer in Oaks.

The event begins with Greco-Roman action on Wednesday and Thursday, followed by freestyle action on Friday and Saturday.

In 2024, Pennsylvania Blue won the Greco-Roman team title, with a 55-17 win over Illinois in the championship dual meet. Wisconsin placed third, defeating Ohio Red, 45-33 in their medal match. Fifth place went to Iowa, a 55-23 winner of Michigan Blue in the final rounds. Minnesota Blue captured seventh place, after defeating Utah, 50-29.

Pennsylvania Blue was also last year’s freestyle champion, defeating California in the finals, 50-27. Third place went to Ohio Scarlet, winner over Wisconsin, 50-32 in the medal round. Illinois finished fifth, stopping New Jersey, 48-30 in their dual meet. Claiming seventh was Minnesota Blue, a 44-36 winner of Ohio Grey.

The first day of each style will feature the pool competition, where teams will compete against a number of teams in preliminary pools. Based upon the results of the day one preliminary pool competition, the top teams from each pool will advance to the Gold/Silver pool on day two, which determines the top eight teams in the tournament. There will be three other placement pools which determine the final team placements in the tournament: Bronze/Copper, Red/Blue and Green/Yellow).

An All-Tournament Team, featuring athletes who go undefeated in their individual matches in a specific style, will be announced after each tournament.

Heading into the tournament, there were 38 state association teams registered in freestyle and 30 in Greco-Roman. The teams will be separated based upon PIN ratings, with the official seeds being announced right before the competition.

Tickets for the event are available on site, to include Adult All Session ($75), Senior All Session ($50), Adult Daily ($20) and Senior Daily ($15).
