Chase Gilbert, Cameron Gilbert named USA Wrestling Athletes of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare

Chase Gilbert and Cameron Gilbert (McLean, Va./Nova WC) have been named the USA Wrestling Athletes of the Week, presented by U.S. Air Force Special Warfare, on January 30, 2025.

Chase Gilbert was named the Outstanding Wrestler in the 12U boys division at 82 pounds at the 2025 Kids Folkstyle Nationals in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Gilbert pinned Walter Caulum of West Salem Bangor Wrestling in 50 seconds in the finals. He had three pins, a technical fall and a decision on his way to the championship.

The Outstanding Wrestler in 10U Boys competition was Cameron Gilbert, the 63 pound champion. Gilbert scored a 53-second pin over Max Corrado of The Best Wrestler in the finals. Gilbert won six matches handily, with four pins, a technical fall and a major decision. The brothers train together regularly.
