Match of the Day: Allison Petix and Marissa Gallegos wrestle in the U23 National finals

King University’s Allison Petix and Colorado Mesa’s Marissa Gallegos met in the 2020 U23 Nationals finals at 55 kg. Petix is a two-time WCWA All-American and finished fifth at the 2020 Cliff Keen WCWC Nationals. She also took fifth at the 2018 and 2019 U.S. Open.
Gallegos, who also placed fourth in the Junior division, was a third-place finisher at the 2020 WCWA Championships as a redshirt freshman. She is also a 2019 Senior Nationals sixth-place finisher.
