Former and current Lions to take part in freestyle match-ups set to stream on Rokfin

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Nittany Lion Wrestling Club (NLWC) will host a second freestyle event on Tuesday, October 20, in an event available exclusively online.
At least 1o more outstanding match-ups of some of the nation’s top freestyle wrestlers will compete without in-person fans. Many former and current Nittany Lions will take part in the event. Action is set to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern. (Please note that due to the rapidly changing environment changes to this line-up can occur leading up to Oct. 20).
To watch the event, subscribe to the NLWC Rokfin channel at www.rokfin.com/nlwc. The subscription will last one month and allow access to the live event, archived matches, and all other content creators on the platform.
A meeting for former NCAA Champions serves as the event’s capstone with former three-time Nittany Lion champion Jason Nolf (NLWC) battling former Arizona State champ Bubba Jenkins.
Nittany Lion Jarod Verkleeren (NLWC) will take on former Clarion Golden Eagle Brock Zacherl while Lion All-American Roman Bravo-Young (NLWC) will face Pitt Panther standout Shelton Mack. Lion Aaron Brooks (NLWC), last year’s Big Ten Champion, will take on former Minnesota Golden Gopher Brett Pfarr. Greg Kerkvliet (NLWC) will face former Pitt wrestler and NWCA All-American Demetrius Thomas.
Penn Stater Carter Starocci (NLWC) will battle former Gopher Devin Skatzka. New Lion Beau Bartlett (NLWC) will face former Wyoming All-American Bryce Meredith and the NLWC’s Bekzod Abdurakhmonov (NLWC) will meet former Boston University wrestler Nestor Taffur.
Once again two NLWC women’s freestyle stars will also take to the mats. Jane Valencia will face Vayle-Rae Baker and Alejandra Romero will face Alexis Porter.
A new bout was announced on October 17 as current Lion freshman Terrell Barraclough will battle Lock Have All-American Kyle Shoop.
Jeff Byers, the voice of Penn State Wrestling, and David Taylor, NLWC standout and two-time NCAA Champion/four-time finalist, will once again handle the play-by-play and commentary. Follow the NLWC social media channels for event updates.

USA Wrestling, the national governing organization for the sport of amateur wrestling, has designated Penn State University as a U.S. Olympic Regional Training Center with practices held in the Penn State Wrestling Room in the Lorenzo Wrestling Complex. The NLWC supports wrestling at all levels but focuses on the Olympic Development of the athletes who train at the Club's Olympic Regional Training Center.
The Nittany Lion Wrestling Club (NLWC) is a tax-exempt, charitable, educational organization with the purpose of educating and promoting amateur wrestling. The NLWC is supported by the many generous individuals and businesses who donate to the Club through the annual membership/sponsorship campaign, the annual golf tournament and other fund-raising efforts. The Nittany Lion Wrestling Club's goal is to be the premier wrestling club in the United States, and the NLWC is well on its way to achieving this goal.
