USA Wrestling Job Opportunity: Manager of Application Development

General Purpose:
USA Wrestling is seeking a self-motivated individual with skills in design, development, and implementation of Membership Management Utilities (MMU) and website development. This a full-time position reporting to the Application Development Director (ADD).
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support, maintain, and expand the development of the MMU software systems; including gathering requirements, database management, software development, testing, implementation, user follow up, support and projects.
• Works with the ADD to make technology decisions and input that impact software development.
• Works with ADD on IT projects and decisions as needed.
• Supports and maintains the development and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications.
• Works with ADD on the pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals to identify potential problems and makes recommendations for favorable outcomes.
• Works with ADD to Identify and resolve program errors to ensure quality control and positive user experience.
• Works with ADD to review and analyses of existing applications’ effectiveness and efficiency and develops strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
• Works with ADD to manage design, development and installation of enhancements and upgrades to systems and application software.
• Assumes other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience.
• Typically has 2 to 5 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
• Requires technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background screen administered by USA Wrestling’s provider
• Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and prior to interacting with athletes.
Hiring Pay Range:
Compensation commensurate with experience.
$90,000-120,000 per year.
