Numerous outlets report potential NCAA announcement allowing additional year of eligibility for DI winter sports athletes

Yesterday, basketball analyst Jeff Goodman reported via twitter that the NCAA DI Council has voted in favor of granting winter sports athletes an additional year of eligibility. Goodman reports that the announcement will come later today following the close of the D1 Council meeting.
D-1 Council has voted in favor of giving additional year of eligibility to winter athletes, source told @Stadium. Won’t be official until close of tomorrow’s meeting since it could still be brought back for reconsideration.
