At the 2019 World Team Trials Challenge Tournament, Jason Nolf unexpectedly bumped up to 74 kg after exclusively competing at 70 kg in his post-collegiate career.
The three-time NCAA champion and four-time NCAA finalist looked fully adjusted to the new weight class and rolled into the Challenge Tournament finals. There, he would square off with Michigan’s Logan Massa, who was taking an Olympic redshirt season. With a victory, Nolf secured his spot on the National Team for the second time in his career.
