Match of the Day: Erin Golston wins 2012 Junior World bronze for her second Junior World medal

Rewind to 2012, when the Junior World Championships were held in Pataya, Thailand. Erin Golston of the USA, who was a 2011 Junior World medalist, was once again in the 44 kg Junior World bronze medal match, battling Aidana Utegulova of Kazakhstan, an Asian Junior bronze medalist in a competitive bout.
Golston, a native of Illinois, attended high school in Marquette, Mich., where she was a member of the women's freestyle team at the U.S. Olympic Education Center at Northern Michigan. She developed into one of the nation's best lightweight athletes on the age-group level, and later into an accomplished international wrestler for the Senior National Women's Team. After winning this match, Golston returned to the Junior Worlds in 2013 to win a Junior World silver medal, winning three straight Junior World medals for the USA. She made an impressive four straight Junior World Teams.
