Match of the Day: RaVaughn Perkins takes gold at the 2017 Dave Schultz Memorial International

In 2017, RaVaughn Perkins claimed his second-straight Dave Schultz Memorial International title with a victory over Shogo Takahashi of Japan. Takahashi is a two-time Japanese Senior World Team member, a two-time Japanese National champion and a 2019 Asian Championships bronze medalist.
Perkins was the 2016 Olympic Team Trials champion at 66 kg and represented the U.S. at the 2018 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary at 72 kg. Additionally, Perkins is a 2018 and 2019 Pan Am Championships gold medalist.
