2019 USA Wrestling Big Brother Future Freestyle Developmental Camp, March 22-27 – U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center, Colorado Springs
USA Wrestling is happy to announce that the 2020 Big Brother Future Freestyle Developmental Camp has been finalized and is accepting applications.
This year’s camp will be held from March 22-27 at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
Every year, this camp hosts nearly 100 athletes from around the nation. It gives athletes the opportunity to improve existing and learn new wrestling technique from an elite level coaching staff. Athletes will be receiving instruction from the USA Wrestling National Team Staff, various guest coaches and clinicians from around the country will be in attendance.
Guided by the USA Wrestling Athlete Development Model, this camp focuses on developing skills across all three styles of wrestling, Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman.
The camp schedule includes two on-mat sessions each day with classroom sessions on nutrition, sports psychology, strength training and more in between training sessions. USA Juniors, U16 and U14 age athletes are eligible to apply.
Camp costs are based on an athlete’s placement at any of the following three qualifying tournaments.
1. Junior Nationals
2. 16U Nationals
3. Folkstyle Nationals (not pre-season nationals)
To register for this camp, please sign into your USA Wrestling membership profile at www.usawmembership.com. From the home page, you will click ‘USAW Events’ and then ‘Camp Registration.’ From there search for the camp under:
• State = Colorado
• Month = March
• Year = 2020
Then you will be able to register and pay for your athlete’s spot at camp. Prices are available under the ‘DETAILS’ tab on the left side of the registration screen. Once you have paid, you can arrange travel for camp.
Application will be accepted until the camp is full. Rolling acceptance will continue until February 8, 2019.
