Over the final days of 2019, United World Wrestling ran a series entitled "Top Stories of the Decade," featuring a different story every day.
As part of this series, three top U.S. wrestlers were specifically named as a top story in international wrestling from 2010-2019. They were Kyle Snyder, Jordan Burroughs and Helen Maroulis.
On December 22, UWW posted a story by Ken Marantz entitled Snyderlaev: Most Captivating Rivalry of the Decade Takes Center Stage. It started this way:
CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY, Switzerland -- It is the wresting version of "When Worlds Collide."
Abdulrashid SADULAEV (RUS) and Kyle SNYDER (USA), born just six months apart, had been on parallel tracks throughout their careers, both winning senior world freestyle titles in 2015 and an Olympic gold at Rio 2016, all before their 21st birthdays.

On December 23, UWW posted a story by Eric Olanowski entitled Golden Years: Jordan Burroughs Doubles his Way Into a Decade of Gold. It started this way:
CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY, Switzerland -- Every path to greatness starts with a first step on the mat. For Jordan Burroughs, it was July 23, 2011, when the future Hall of Famer made his international debut, at the International Ukrainian Tournament in Kyiv.
Nine years later he hasn’t stopped to look back.

On December 26, UWW posted a story by Ken Marantz entitled Helen Maroulis Makes History, Upends Saori Yoshida at Rio 2016. It started this way:
CORSIER-SUR-VEVEY, Switzerland -- Helen MAROULIS (USA) went into the 53kg final at the Rio 2016 Olympics knowing about as much as one could about her opponent. Granted, it wasn't hard to be familiar with Saori YOSHIDA (JPN), given that with three Olympic and 13 world golds to her name, she was already among the most famous wrestlers on the planet. And the American had some first-hand knowledge, having lost to Yoshida by fall in two previous meetings.
