Preview: FloWrestling to host RTC Cup presented by Titan Mercury, Dec. 4-5

This weekend, six of the best wrestling clubs in America will compete for over $200,000 in prize money in the FloWrestling RTC Cup presented by Titan Mercury Wrestling Club. The event begins Friday at 2 p.m. ET live on FloWrestling with pool action.

Below is a look at the highlights of each club.

CLIFF KEEN WRESTLING CLUB
Highlighting the Cliff Keen roster are heavyweight standouts, including 2018 Senior World silver medalist Adam Coon, 2019 Junior World champion Mason Parris and 2018 U23 World silver medalist Youssif Hemida.

CKWC also features NCAA champion Seth Gross, U23 World Team member Alec Pantaleo, Senior Nationals champion Logan Massa, Junior Nationals champion Dylan Ragusin and 2019 Dave Schultz Memorial champion Timothy Dudley.

As a club, Cliff Keen hosts multiple international wrestlers, including David Habat (Slovenia), Malik Amine (San Marino), Myles Amine (San Marino) and Domenic Abounader (Lebanon). Myles Amine was fifth at the 2019 World Championships, qualifying his weight and punching his ticket to the Tokyo Olympics next summer.

GOPHER WRESTLING CLUB
The Gopher Wrestling Club features age-group World medalists Gable Steveson and Mitch McKee.

Keeping the heavyweight competition interesting, Steveson is a two-time Cadet World champion and a 2017 Junior World champion. McKee owns a 2017 Junior World silver medal.

Multiple-time National Team members Hayden Zillmer and Tony Nelson are slated to compete this weekend at 97 kg and 125kg, respectively. Other freestyle standouts on the roster include Zach Sanders, Evan Wick, Brett Pfarr and more.

WOLFPACK WRESTLING CLUB
Highlighting the Wolfpack Wrestling Club roster is two-time World bronze medalist and two-time NCAA champion Nick Gwiazdowski, who will compete at heavyweight.

He is joined by fellow NCAA champions Darian Cruz (2017) and Mike Macchiavello (2018). Both Cruz and Macchiavello are also current National Team members.

There are a number of other NCAA stars representing the Wolfpack, including NCAA runner-up Hayden Hidlay as well All-Americans Kevin Jack, Tariq Wilson and Tommy Gantt.

OHIO REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER
The Ohio RTC squad is a talented one with age-group World medalist Kollin Moore on the roster.

Moore is a 2017 Junior World silver medalist and a 2018 U23 World silver medalist, who most recently won the 2020 Senior Nationals title at 97 kg.

An additional U.S. U23 World Team member, Jack Mueller is expected to compete this weekend. Mueller was fifth at the 2018 U23 World Championships.

Competing at heavyweight is 2014 Junior World champion for Canada, Amar Dhesi, who competed collegiately stateside at Oregon State.

Two-time World champion and Olympic bronze medalist J’den Cox was scheduled to compete but pulled out last week, due to illness.

SPARTAN COMBAT REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER
There are multiple age-group medals represented in the Spartan Combat RTC, including current Cornell athletes Yianni Diakomihalis and Vito Arujau.

Diakomihalis is a two-time Cadet World champion and two-time NCAA champion, and Arujau is a Cadet and Junior World silver medalist and NCAA All-American. Another World medalist on the squad is 2009 Junior World champ Dom Bradley, who is competing at 125 kg.

2019 NCAA champion for Northern Iowa, Drew Foster, will represent the Spartan Combat RTC this weekend at 86 kg.

NEW JERSEY RTC/SOUTHEAST RTC
The NJRTC and Southeast RTC (Blacksburg, Va.) are teaming up for this event.

Representing the SERTC are newcomers James Green and Nahshon Garrett as well as Mekhi Lewis and Ty Walz. Green is a 2017 Senior World silver medalist and a 2015 Senior World bronze medalist. Garrett is a 2016 NCAA champion for Cornell and a 2018 World Team Trials champion.

Lewis and Walz are age-group World medalists with Lewis capturing a 2017 Junior World gold in 2018 and Walz winning bronze at the 2018 U23 World Championships.

NJRTC athletes competing this weekend are multiple-time NCAA All-Americans Matt Kolodzik (Princeton), Nate Jackson (Indiana) and Jordan Wood (Lehigh).
