Muhamed McBryde advances to 79 kg bronze match at U23 Worlds in Budapest

BUDAPEST, Hungary – Muhamed McBryde picked up a repechage victory on Tuesday afternoon to secure a spot in the 79 kg bronze-medal match at the 2019 U23 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
McBryde faced Mostafa Sayed of Egypt in his repechage match earlier today. He scored a takedown in the first period to carry a 2-0 lead into the break. In the second period, both wrestlers were active but no points were scored until the final two seconds, when McBryde recorded another takedown to ice the match with a 4-0 victory.
Tonight, he will wrestle for U23 World bronze, where he will face 2019 U23 European runner-up Ramazan Sari of Turkey.
