U.S. Group B and Group E Greco-Roman wrestlers get draw at Veterans Worlds in Tbilisi, Georgia

TBILISI, Georgia – The draws have been announced for the first day of the Veterans World Championships, which begin on Tuesday with Greco-Roman competition in Division B and Division E.
A total of 12 U.S. wrestlers have been drawn into the tournament at these two age divisions, four in Div. B and eight in Div. E.
Among those competing on Tuesday in Greco-Roman at 130 kg in Div. E is Daniel Chaid of San Jose, Calif., who was a Veterans World freestyle champion in 2000. Chaid was an NCAA champion at Oklahoma and a longtime member of the U.S. Freestyle National Team.
Veterans athletes are 35 years old through 60 years old, and compete in five different age groups.
The event will be broadcast live in the United States on Trackwrestling. Tbilisi is eight hours ahead of the U.S. Eastern time zone.
The Team Leader for the United States is two-time Veterans World Greco-Roman champion Chris Brown of Boyds, Md., who is also a member of USA Wrestling’s Associated Styles Committee. Two additional coaches are with the team, Jon McGovern of Dubuque, Iowa and Geoffrey Kaylor of Puyallup, Wash. Serving as a referee is Brad Boucher of Mulliken, Mich.
