Team USA will be sending a roster of U15 men’s Greco-Roman wrestlers to participate in the first U15 World School Combat Games in Budapest, Hungary, next week. United World Wrestling considers this event an age-group World Championship.
All ten wrestlers competing won UWW U15 Nationals’ titles this April, which qualified them for the team.
Three wrestlers, Aden Valencia (38 kg), Ethan Stiles (52 kg) and Andrew Blackburn-Forst (85 kg) won titles in men’s freestyle as well and will compete in both styles in Budapest.
The team has two Kids Nationals Greco-Roman champions, Zachary Silvis (44 kg), and Gavin Nelson (75 kg), and two Kids Nationals novice Greco-Roman champions, Joel Adams (48 kg) and Jayden Colon (57 kg). It also features a U15 Pan-American games Greco-Roman and freestyle silver medalist in Jadon Skellenger. Rounding out the team are Northern Plains Regional champion, Tyler Antoniak (68 kg) and Western Regionals runner-up Paul Kelly (41 kg).
The event will be broadcast by TrackWrestling.
