Adam Coon wraps up Greco-Roman action at Pan Am Games

LIMA, Peru – Adam Coon wrapped up Greco-Roman competition for the USA at the Pan American Games on Thursday in Lima, Peru.
Coon, a 2018 World silver medalist, went 0-1 on the day at 130 kg, falling in his first match to 2017 World bronze medalist Yasmani Acosta Fernandez of Chile, 8-0.
Acosta failed to make it to the finals, losing to three-time Olympic champion and five-time World champion Mijain Lopez Nunez of Cuba, ending Coon’s 2019 Pan American Games.
Next month, Coon will represent the United States at the 2019 Senior World Championships in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
Overall, Team USA won one gold, one silver and two bronzes in Greco-Roman at the Pan Am Games.
