Long list of returning champions already entered in 2019 Marine Corps Masters National Championships

It’s almost time for the 2019 Marine Corps U.S. Open. This event always features some of the best wrestling on American soil every year. Wrestling will get kicked off next week with the Marine Corps Master’s National Championships.
The Master’s National Championships offer athletes who are past the age of 25 years old a chance to continue their inner warrior and show people they still have what it takes to win the coveted USA Wrestling “Stop Sign”.
Masters Division A: (Born 1985-1994)
Masters Division B: (Born 1976-1984)
Masters Division C: (Born 1967-1975)
Masters Division D: (Born 1958-1966)
Masters Division E: (Born 1949-1957)
Masters Division F: (Born 1948-1944)
Wrestlers already entered in this year’s tournament who brought home titles in both men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman last year include Jordin Humphrey of California, James Medeiros of California, Gabe Beauperthuy of Colorado, Domenico Piccinini of Florida, Igor Ilin of Illinois, Daniel Chaid of California, Kevin Hejnal of California, and Jack Schwartz of California.
Outside of Jordin Humphrey, who is only entered in men’s freestyle, all of these wrestlers are once again entered in both styles.
Last year’s Greco-Roman champions, Carson Gainey of Ohio and Jon Banko of Pennsylvania are entered as well.
Tom Donahue of Ohio and Steve Contarino of Florida, 2018 men’s freestyle champions, are also already entered in this year’s tournament.
