The repechage rounds in the last two weights in men’s freestyle at the World Wrestling Championships were held on Tuesday morning, finalizing the medal-match pairings at 70 kg and 97 kg.

The United States did not have any athletes competing in the repechage bouts in these two weight classes.

The United States will have one athlete in the medal-match round on day four of the men’s freestyle tournament. At 97 kg, Olympic champion and two-time World champion Kyle Snyder (Columbus, Ohio/Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) will wrestle Olympic champion and two-time World champion Abdulrashid Sadulaev of Russia in the World finals for the second straight year. Last year, Snyder defeated Sadulaev 6-5 in a bout dubbed “Match of the Century.” This year, they are calling it Snyderlaev II.

The medal matches for the two men’s freestyle weights, as well as the first two women’s freestyle weights, will be held 6:00 p.m. in Budapest , which is two hours ahead of U.S. Eastern time zone.
