U23 Trials freestyle and Greco fields loaded with talent and set for this weekend in Akron

This weekend in Akron, Ohio, the men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman U23 World Teams will be determined for the U23 World Championships, Nov. 12-18 in Bucharest, Romania.

Eligible for U23 World Team Trials are athletes born between 1995-1999 or 2000 with a medical certificate. This is an 18-23-year-old age group.

The finals is a best-of-three series with the winner earning a bid to Romania to represent the U.S.

In Greco-Roman, the top-three placers will qualify for the Senior Greco World Team Trials in Tulsa, Okla., June 21-22.

Held alongside the U23 Trials will be the Cadet World Team Trials in men’s freestyle and Greco-Roman.

This weekend’s event will be held June 1-3 and will be live streamed on Flowrestling.org.

Although online registration has closed, athletes who wish to participate can do so on-site. There is no prequalification required.
