Daniel "Greg" Kerkvliet had a great day at the Cadet World Championships on Monday, winning four straight matches to make the gold-medal match at 110 kg. It is the second straight year Kerkvliet made the Cadet World finals, and he seeks his second straight gold medal. He won his first three bouts by technical fall, then won a 2-2 decision over Sergey Kozyrev of Russia in the semifinals. Tomorrow he faces Cadet Asian champion Amir Zare of Iran for gold.
