Folkstyle Tour of America at mid-season, with Southern Grind in Georgia this weekend

The 2017-2018 Folkstyle Tour of America is midway through as it makes its return to Georgia for the Southern Grind at the LakePoint Indoor Sports Complex in Cartersville, Georgia on January 19-20.
Southern Grind offers folkstyle competitions for Bantams, Intermediates, Novices, and Middle School.
Registration closes Friday, January 19th at 9:00 a.m. or until capped at 1,000 wrestlers.

Special awards will be awarded to Bantam Outstanding Wrestler, Bantam Team Champion, Intermediate Outstanding Wrestler, Intermediate Team Champion, Novice Outstanding Wrestler, Novice Team Champion, Middle School Outstanding Wrestler, and Middle School Team Champion.

The 2017-2018 USA Wrestling Folkstyle Tour of America kicked off with the 8th annual Northwest Big Foot Battle, in Spokane Wash. at the Spokane Convention Center on November 17th 2017. Participation was at its highest yet with a total of 1,323 wrestlers competing in the event.
Following the Big Foot Battle, was the 7th annual King of the Mountain in Castle Rock, Colorado on December 1st- 3rd. This event featured three different components, with 12 invitational team duals, championships brackets, and true beginner championship brackets. There was a total of 1,151 participants.
The 11th annual Salt Lake Slam at the Legacy Events Center in Farmington, Utah has become one of premier youth events in the country with its growing numbers. Held on December 29-30th this tournament, exceeded expectations with 1,096 wrestlers competing.
Upcoming Folkstyle Tour of America locations include the new expansion to the series, Rough Neck Rumble taking place on February 17-18, 2018 in Tulsa Okla. at the Cox Business Center.
Folkstyle Tour of America also returns to Wisconsin Dells for the 10th Annual Dominate in the Dells on March 9-10, 2018 at Woodside Wisconsin Dells Center Dome. This event features competition for Bantam through Juniors.
