The Northern Michigan Olympic Training Site (NMU-OTS) Greco-Roman team is taking seven wrestlers to the Eduardo Campbell Cup in Santiago de Veraguas, Panama, Sept. 29-30.

For the fourth-straight year, NMU is sending a squad to the event. Last year, all five of the wrestlers that competed earned medals, including one gold, two silver and two bronze.

One of those silver medals went to Corey Fitzgerald, who looks to get to the top of the podium at 75 kg this year. Fitzgerald competed in several competitions last year, including the Klippan Cup in Sweden, where he finished fifth.

2015 Eduardo Campbell Cup champion Austin Morrow heads back to the event after not competing in Panama last year. Morrow, who is set to compete at 66 kg, owns international silver medals from the 2016 Bill Farrell International and 2016 Malar Cup.

Khymba Johnson has recently made the move up to 98 kg, where he is expected to wrestle at the Campbell Cup. Earlier this year, Johnson won bronze at the Dave Schultz Memorial International, shortly after finishing second at U.S. Senior Nationals in Las Vegas. He wrestled both tournaments at 85 kg.

Other NMU wrestlers set to compete are Colby Baker, Aaron Kliamovich, Chris Rodgers and George Sikes. All four are expected to wrestle at 66 kg.

Weigh-ins are on Friday, with competition scheduled for Saturday.
