World and Olympic champion Kyle Snyder became the fourth wrestler to win the USOC Olympic Male Athlete of the Year Award, joining John Smith, Rulon Gardner and Jordan Burroughs by receiving this major honor. National Freestyle Coach Bill Zadick, after coaching the USA men's freestyle team to the 2017 World Team Title, became the first wrestling coach to win the USOC Olympic Coach of the Year Award. They were honored side-by-side at the #TeamUSAAwards ceremony in Los Angeles. Kyle and Bill talked about this recognition afterwards with Titan Mercury's Jonny Ruggiano, who also shot the photos of them on TheMat.com's homepage.
