Cabell vs. Gadson feature plus card of high school bouts at War at West Gym in Cedar Falls, Iowa, March 11

From the group that brought you the “Night of Conflict”, IAwrestle and its owners are proud to announce a new stand-alone event titled “War at West Gym” taking place on March 11 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The event will be held in the University of Northern Iowa’s West Gym and will pit some of Iowa’s top high school talent against one another, as well as feature some talented wrestlers from across the country.
In addition, there is a “professional match” featuring a pair of the top freestyle wrestlers in the nation at 97 kg, Blaize Cabell of the Panther Wrestling Club against Kyven Gadson of the Cyclone Wrestling Club.
Gadson was an NCAA champion for Iowa State, and is No. 6 in the January USA Wrestling freestyle rankings. Cabell was a star for the Univ. of Northern Iowa, holding a No. 10 national ranking in freestyle. Both competed in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials and are continuing their Olympic-level careers into the new Olympic cycle.
There are 12 high school matches, featuring top wrestlers from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin and North Dakota. Included is a women’s wrestling match.
The event is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. at the West Gym in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Proceeds directly benefit the Panther Wrestling Club. This is a USA Wrestling sanctioned event.
Tickets can be purchased by clicking here and at the door. Doors open at 5 and wrestling starts at 6.
