Stieber, Snyder remain No. 1 in March UWW freestyle rankings; Taylor jumps 13 spots

Snyder continues to have a good run to the new year going 3-1 at the Freestyle World Cup in Kermanshah, Iran in February. This follows his gold medal at the Yarygin Grand Prix in Russia in January.
Stieber wrestled for the first time in the new year at the Freestyle World Cup, where he went 3-1 in the tournament.
The United States had 17 wrestlers ranked in men’s freestyle in March, with eight holding top 10 rankings.
J’den Cox (Columbia, Mo./Titan Mercury WC/MWF), a 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, remains at No. 4 in the rankings at 86 kg/213 lbs. Cox is currently competing in his senior year at Missouri, seeking a third career NCAA title. He has not wrestled in freestyle since the Rio Olympic Games.
Jumping 13 spots from last month’s rankings is the Magic Man, David Taylor (State College, Pa./Nittany Lion WC) who is No. 5 at 86 kg/189 lbs. Taylor had an outstanding performance at the World Cup beating two previous Olympic Champions on the way to a 4-0 record at the tournament.
Also, moving up multiple spots in March’s rankings is Jordan Burroughs (Lincoln, Neb./Sunkist Kids/Nebraska RTC) at No. 3 at 74 kg/163 lbs. Burroughs competed for the first time since the 2016 Olympics at the World Cup, where he posted a 4-0 record. He is a 2012 Olympic Champion and 3x World Champion
Advancing three spots from last month’s rankings is 2015 World Bronze medalist James Green (Lincoln, Neb./Titan Mercury WC/Nebraska RTC) at No. 5 at 70 kg. Green posted at 3-1 record at the World Cup.
Dropping one spot in the rankings at 65 kg is No. 7 Frank Molinaro (State College, Pa./Nittany Lion WC). Molinaro wrestled for the first time since the 2016 Olympics at the Freestyle World Cup where he went 1-3.
Coming in at No. 10 is Tervel Dlagnev (Columbus, Ohio/Sunkist Kids/Ohio RTC) at 125 kg. Dlagnev was ranked No. 6 in last month’s rankings and has not competed since placing fifth at the 2016 Olympics.
The Titan Mercury Wrestling Club competed at the Cerro Pelado International in Cuba, and two new wrestlers were added to this month’s UWW rankings. At No. 15 is Tyler Graff (New Brunswick, N.J./New York AC) at 57 kg and Nazar Kulchytsky (Madison, Wis./ Titan Mercury WC) is at No. 18 at 70 kg.
Other U.S. wrestlers in the rankings at No. 16 are Nico Megaludis (State College, Pa./Nittany Lion WC/Titan Mercury) at 57 kg, No. 17 Dom Bradley (Ames, Iowa/Sunkist Kids), No. 18 Kyle Dake (Ithaca, N.Y./Titan Mercury WC) at 74 kg, No. 19 Austin Trotman (Lincoln, Neb/Titan Mercury WC) at 86 kg, No. 20 Alex Dieringer (Stillwater, Okla./ Titan Mercury WC) at 74 kg, No. 20 Richard Perry (Philadelphia, Pa./New York AC) at 86 kg.
