U.S. Cadets Rubino, Almaguer, Robson get draws for Brale Memorial in Serbia

Three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers, competing in the UWW Cadet age group, have weighed in and received their first round draws for the Refik Memisevic Brale Memorial Tournament in Subotica, Serbia. The first five weight classes will be contested on Saturday.


Competing for the USA are Nathan Rubino of Omaha, Neb. at 42 kg, Austin Almaguer of Kennewick, Wash. at 58 kg and Cayden Robson of Spring Green, Wis. at 69 kg.

Live coverage will start on Saturday, July 24th at 9 a.m. local time and will run until the end of the tournament on Sunday


The second set of U.S. wrestlers will weigh in on Saturday and compete on Sunday.


This group of athletes competed in the Croatia Open in Zagreb, Croatia last week, led by two medalists, gold-medalist Cohlton Schultz of Parker, Colo. at 100 kg and silver medalist Camden Russell of Omaha, Neb. at 54 kg. Both are expected to wrestle Sunday. The group is also participating in training while in Europe.


Coaching the USA team are respected coaches Lucas Steldt of Wisconsin, and Olympian Shawn Sheldon of Florida.
