Zahid Valencia made a third straight U.S. Junior World Team, with a dominating performance at the UWW Junior World Team Trials in Lincoln, Neb. at 84 kg. In the finals series, Valencia defeated 2016 Junior World Greco-Roman team member Nick Reenan, who competes for NC State, with a pair of technical falls. Valencia was a Div. I All-American for Arizona State this year as a freshman. The California native placed 10th in the 2015 Junior Worlds and seventh in the 2016 Junior Worlds.
