Helen Maroulis (New York, N.Y./Sunkist Kids) and Alli Ragan (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) remain the USA’s top-ranked women in this month’s edition of the United World Wrestling women’s freestyle world rankings. Four other Americans join them as top-20 in the world at their respective weight classes.

Maroulis, the first American female Olympic wrestling champion, remains in the No. 1 spot at 53 kg/117 lbs. Most recently, she put together a dominant, gold-medal performance at the Poland Open in Warsaw, Poland, last weekend.

Maroulis will represent the U.S. at 58 kg/128 lbs. at the World Championships in Paris, France, in August.

World silver medalist and five-time U.S. World Team member Ragan stays put as the No. 2 ranked wrestler in the world at 60 kg/132 lbs. and has secured the No. 1 seed for the World Championships. Her last competition was the Pan American Championships in May, where she won gold.

U.S. World Team member Victoria Anthony (Tempe, Ariz./Sunkist Kids) checks in at No. 6 at 48 kg/106 lbs. She most recently took first at Pan Ams and also boasts a gold medal from the International Ukrainian Tournament earlier this year.

Rounding out the top-10 for the American women is Tamyra Mensah (Katy, Texas/Titan Mercury WC), who is ranked No. 9 at 69 kg/152 lbs. Most notably this season, she won the prestigious Ivan Yarygin tournament in Russia, becoming only the sixth U.S. woman to do so. She will be the U.S. representative in Paris at 69 kg.

2017 World Team member at 55 kg/121 lbs. Becka Leathers and World Team Trials finalist at 58 kg Kayla Miracle chime in at No. 17 and No. 19, respectively.

All but Maroulis are expected to compete at the Grand Prix of Spain this weekend in Madrid, Spain.
