GREELEY, Colo. - The USA Wrestling hosted Jack Pinto Cup will be held in Greeley, Colorado on January 22 at 4:30 p.m. at the Bank of Colorado Arena.

The event will be USA vs. World in a dual format, featuring top USA and International Greco-Roman wrestlers.

Paralleling last season's debut, the Jack Pinto Cup will occur just prior to the Northern Colorado Wrestling dual againist Cal Poly, scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start that evening.

The event started in 2005 using a dual meet series in a tournament style format (four USA teams vs. four international teams), and has also been known as the Kit Carson Cup and the Kiki Cup in years prior. The name change occurred in 2013, in memory of six-year-old Jack Pinto who lost his life in the Sandy Hook Elementary School tragedy in Newtown, Conn. Active in a number of sports, Pinto was a wrestler with the Newtown Youth Wrestling Association, a USA Wrestling club in his hometown.

Lineups for the Jack Pinto Cup have not been completed yet, but should be confirmed and announced late next week.

Last year, a Jack Pinto Cup dual meet was also held at UNC prior to a college dual meet.

Tickets for the UNC vs. Cal Poly dual and Jack Pinto Cup are $7 for adults and $5 for youth (13 & Under), Faculty/Staff and Seniors. You can purchase them beforehand online at uncbears.com/tickets or by by calling the UNC Ticket Office at 970-351-4409.
