NMU-OTS Greco wrestlers to compete in Eduardo Campbell Cup in Panama, October 3

A new international wrestling season has already begun, and a group of American wrestlers will compete in an international competition this weekend.
A group of seven athletes from the Northern Michigan University – Olympic Training Site (NMU-OTS) Greco-Roman wrestling team will compete in the Eduardo Campbell International Cup in Panama City, Panama, on Saturday, October 3.
This is the second straight year that a NMU-OTS team has attended the competition. Last year, the NMU-OTS team captured the team title at the event, winning three gold medals and three silver medals with a six-athlete team.
None of the wrestlers on this year’s tour competed in the event in Panama last year.
Leading the USOEC team is Dalton Roberts of Fowlerville, Mich., who will compete at 59 kg/130 lbs. in Panama. Roberts was eighth in the 2015 UWW Junior World Championships in Greco-Roman for the United States. Roberts was also fifth at the 2015 University Nationals.
West Cathcart of Genesco, Ill., who placed seventh at the 2015 U.S. Senior Open at 98 kg/215 lbs. will also be on the tour.
Brandon Marshall of Keystone Heights, Fla. will enter at 85 kg/187 lbs. Marshall was sixth at the 2015 UWW Junior Nationals.
