Williams, Smith, Lampe, Conder weigh-in and receive draws for Thursday competition at Pan American Games

TORONTO, Canada – Four U.S. wrestlers have weighed in and received their draws for day two of competition at the Pan American Games in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The second day of competition will feature two Greco-Roman weight classes in addition to three women’s freestyle weight classes. Wrestling will begin at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow with the finals set for 8 p.m. (EDT).
Caylor Williams (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP) and Robby Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./ New York AC) will compete for the U.S. in Greco-Roman while Alyssa Lampe (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) and Whitney Conder (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP) will don the stars and stripes for the U.S. women on Thursday.
Williams, a three-time U.S. World Team member, will face Pan American Championships bronze medalist Luilys Perez Mora of Venezuela in the quarterfinals at 98 kg/216 lbs.
Smith, a three-time U.S. World Team member and fifth place finisher in the World, is set to battle Pan American Championships and Central American and Caribbean Games bronze medalist Edgardo Lopez Morell of Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals at 130 kg/286.6 lbs.
Lampe, a two-time World bronze medalist, will face Pan American Championships gold medalist Genevieve Morrison of Canada in the quarterfinals at 48 kg 105.5 lbs. Morrison is a two-time World University champion and placed fifth at the Junior World Championships twice.
Conder, a three-time U.S. World Team member, is slated to face the winner of Brianne Barry of Canada and Yamilka Del Valle of Cuba in the semifinals at 53 kg/116.5 lbs.
The 58 kg/128 lbs. women’s freestyle weight class will also compete on Thursday. The U.S. did not qualify to compete at 58 kg in Toronto.
