Live webcast planned for Spanish Grand Prix on Saturday, with large U.S. team entered

The Spanish Wrestling Federation is planning a live webcast from the Spanish Grand Prix, which will be held on Saturday, July 10 in Madrid, Spain.


The United States send a large contingent of 35 talented athletes, including five 2015 U.S. Senior World Team members, to compete in this very competitive event. Competition in all three style will be contested in one day.


The Spanish Wrestling Federation will stream four mats from the competition, and also has a section for result updates on their website.

Madrid is six hours ahead of U.S. Eastern time, so the tournament will begin at 3:00 a.m. Saturday morning U.S. Eastern time. Please check out the schedule below for session times.


The 2015 World Team members competing in Spain include:

• Helen Maroulis (Rockville, Md./Sunkist Kids) at 55 kg/121 lbs., Alli Ragan (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) at 58 kg/128 lbs. and Elena Pirozhkova (Colorado Springs, Colo./Titan Mercury WC) at 69 kg/152 lbs. in women’s freestyle

• Patrick Martinez (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army WCAP) at 80 kg/174 lbs. in Greco-Roman

• James Green (Willingboro, N.J./Titan Mercury WC) at 70 kg/154 lbs. in men’s freestyle


There will be numerous other star U.S. wrestlers in the tournament, including other national team members, as well as some talented members of the 2015 U.S. Junior World Team.
