Gray gets technical fall as her Mumbai team beats Delhi, 47-20 in Indian Pro Wrestling League

NEW DELHI, India – American star Adeline Gray scored a technical fall win, helping her Mumbai team to a 47-20 win over Delhi in an Indian Professional Wrestling League dual meet on Monday.
Gray, a three-time World champion, scored a first-period 10-0 technical fall over 2013 Commonwealth Games bronze medalist Nikki of India in their bout at 69 kg +.
Gray has now won all four of her matches in the PWL in dominant fashion, with three technical falls and a 10-1 decision.
Mumbai won five of the seven matches held. Three athletes for Mumbai scored technical falls, Gray, Odunayo Adekyoroye of Nigeria at 53 kg in women’s freestyle and Giorgi Sakandelidze of Georgia at 125 kg in men’s freestyle.
Mumbai now boasts a 4-0 record, while Delhi slipped to an 0-4 record for the year.
The next American athlete to compete will be Alyssa Lampe, whose Bengaluru team takes on Delhi on Wednesday in Bengaluru.
The regular portion of the dual meet season completes on Thursday, Dec. 24, when Gray’s Mumbai takes on Haryana in Bengaluru. The post season will be held in New Delhi, and will include one semifinal bout on December 25 and the second semifinal bout on December 26, with the championship finals set for December 27.
