Final five U.S. men’s freestylers get draws for UWW Cadet Worlds in Bosnia-Herzogovina

SARAJEVO, Bosnia- The final five U.S. men’s freestyle wrestlers have weighed in and received draws for the 2015 UWW Cadet World Championships on Saturday. This event features the world’s best 15-17 year old wrestlers.
One of the top medal hopefuls is Daton Fix of Oklahoma at 54 kg, who opens up against 2015 European Cadet champion Vazgen Tevanyan of Armenia.
Fix won a silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games last summer, and was 10th at the UWW Cadet World Championships. He was also a Junior Nationals freestyle champion in Fargo this summer. Fix was also a UWW Junior Nationals freestyle champion in May.
A pair of 2015 Cadet National champions take to the mat on Sunday, Dylan D’Emilio of Ohio at 46 kg and Gable Steveson of Minnesota at 100 kg.
D’Emilio wrestles Horst Lehr of Germany in his first match. Steveson has Georgios Georgiadis of Greece in his opener.
Two other wrestlers from the Eastern USA compete on Sunday, Jarod Verkleeren of Pennsylvania at 63 kg /138.75 lbs. and Joseph Grello of New Jersey at 76 kg/167.5 lbs.
Verkleeren will wrestle Vasili Diaconu of Moldova in the first round. Grello faces 2015 European Cadet bronze medalist Ivan Stefanov of Bulgaria to start his day.
This is the final day of competition at the UWW Cadet World Championships.
