Four-time state champion Doyle Trout hospitalized after car accident

Four-time Nebraska high school state champion Doyle Trout suffered serious injuries in a single-car accident Sunday evening near Waco, Neb.
According to reports, Trout was driving alone in his vehicle when his car drove off the road and collided with a power pole before rolling on its side, trapping Trout in the vehicle.
After emergency responders arrived on the scene, Trout was extracted from his vehicle and airlifted by helicopter to Bryan West Hospital in Lincoln, Neb.
Trout severely injured both of his legs. His left leg was reportedly amputated just above the knee and his right femur was also broken in the collision. He is reportedly in stable condition after surgery.
Two months ago Trout won his fourth state title for Centennial High School. He has a scholarship to wrestle at the University of Wyoming this fall.
