As host of the Freestyle Wrestling World Cup, USA Wrestling has released the new logo for the event, which be held in Los Angeles, March 15-16.

The World Cup is the annual international dual meet championships, and will feature the top 10 men’s freestyle wrestling teams in the world.

The logo, as well as marketing campaign, was created and designed by KOM Sports Marketing of Colorado Springs, and features all 10 flags of the participating nations with a two freestyle wrestlers and star on the mat, symbolic for world unity. There are vertical and horizontal versions of this attractive logo.

The event's campaign title is "Guts & Glory" which is featured in key artwork promoting the event. The artwork features 2012 Olympic gold medalist Jordan Burroughs of the United States and 2012 Olympic silver-medalist Sadegh Goudarzi of Iran.

The 2014 World Cup campaign features several executions with both international stars. Outside the general Los Angeles area, an additional campaign will run in various ethnic publications and on-line sites and social mediums, highlighting individual countries. The key artwork for the campaign will be unveiled and will begin its usage early next week.

"We hope to use this mark for years to come as the host of one of wrestling's major international properties," said USA Wrestling Executive Director Rich Bender. "We also like how this campaign speaks to the international elite nature of the event using an edgy headline. With two of the premier stars of the sport in the campaign, it not only promotes international wrestling but showcases what the World Cup is all about."

The 10 nations which will compete for the World Cup are (alphabetically): Armenia, Georgia, India, Iran, Japan, Mongolia, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and the United States. Nations were invited based upon final team standings at the 2013 World Championships.

The most recent Freestyle World Cup was held in Tehran, Iran in February 2013, with Iran winning the team title, Russia placing second and the United States placing third.

Information on schedule, venue and how to order tickets will be released on Monday.
