See Dake, Dlagnev seek second GWC belts on Sunday in New York

The Global Wrestling Championships (GWC) have brought the best in the world to Madison Square Garden on Sunday in New York City.


In the Main Events at the Grapple at the Garden, Kyle Dake of the USA takes on 2014 Greco World Champion Arsen Julfalakyan of Armenia while Tervel Dlagnev of the USA squares off against 2013 World Freestyle Champion Khadjimurad Gatsalov of Russia.


Fans who can’t be in New York City in person will have a chance to watch these matches via Pay Per View.


Both Main Event matches will be the second Championship matches for both Dake and Dlagnev.


Dlagnev currently holds the GWC Heavyweight Title in freestyle. In the Dlagnev vs. Gatsalov match up, both titans will be vying for the title of GWC International Heavyweight Champion.


Dake holds the GWC Welterweight Belt in freestyle. Dake will take a different challenge when wrestles Julfalakyan for the first-ever GWC Welterweight Greco Championship Belt.


The event will also feature a rematch of last year's dual between Team Warren vs Team Gracie presented by Strength O4 and Madison Square Garden. MMA athletes and current wrestlers will compete in wrestling in this unique event.


At 145 lbs., Greco World Champion and Bellator Champion Joe Warren will take on Scott Jorgensen. The 150 lbs. will see Shawn Bunch of Team Warren vs. Damacio Page of Team Gracie. Joining Team Warren will be UFC star Gray Maynard against team Gracie’s Ozzy Dugulubgov at 170 lbs. At Heavyweight, Team Warren will send out King Mo Lawal vs. Rolles Gracie. Other featured bouts will be held.


These featured wrestling matches will be shown via Pay Per View LIVE on Sunday, December 21st, 2014, starting at 12:00 noon E.T. (9:00 a.m. P.T.). For more PPV information contact your cable provider.
