World silver medalist Jake Herbert headlines a talented list of U.S. freestyle wrestlers who are expected to battle a team from World powerhouse Russia in New York City.

The U.S. will battle Russia on Friday, Nov. 20 in the Grand Ballroom of the New York Athletic Club. The event will be held prior to the New York AC International Open on Nov. 22.

New York AC Chairman Noel Thompson said the event will be held on an elevated mat with a red carpet rolled out at the entrance.

Russia is the reigning World team champion and is expected to bring a strong lineup to the dual.

In addition to Herbert, who won a silver medal at the 2009 World Championships last month in Herning, Denmark, the American squad will include Olympian Andy Hrovat along with World Team members Shawn Bunch and Trent Paulson.

U.S. National Team members Sam Hazewinkel, Jared Frayer and Scott Steele also are scheduled to compete.

"If you love wrestling, this is one of those marquee events you just don't want to miss," Thompson said. "Russia and USA, two of the World freestyle powers, will battle in the Big Apple. Please join us for a night out in New York City to celebrate the rivalry."

The dual is scheduled to start at 8:30 p.m.

Admission to the event is $30, which includes drinks and h'ordeuvres.

VIP seating available for the dual also will be available for $80, which will also include a NYAC The Tradition T-shirt.
