The National team from Sweden defeated the United States, 4-1, during an exhibition dual meet in women's freestyle wrestling on Friday.
This dual was held prior to the Klippan Ladies Open, which will be hosted in Klippan, Sweden this weekend.
Capturing the only victory for the USA was Jenna Pavlik (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC), who defeated Emma Weberg at 72 kg/158.5 lbs. Pavlik was fifth in the 2001 World Championships.
"We have plenty to work on, and we will get to work directly doing just that. Most of these matches turned on correctable and fixible mistakes which can be erased with some concentrated effort," said U.S. coach Levi Weikel-Magden. "We have the Klippan tournament this weekend and some valuable training for the following week (in Sweden). We will use this time to improve specifically on those small things that we have already seen cost us matches."
