Clinics, activities set for Fan Fest at World Cup in Los Angeles, June 11-12

Youth from California USA Wrestling are geared up for the World Cup. Visit the California USA Wrestling booth for great stuff at the Forum this year.
SAN MARINO, Calif. – Titan Mercury Wrestling Club announced the Fan Fest schedule for the 2016 World Cup, which will be held June 11-12 at The Forum in Los Angeles.
Prior to each day’s World Cup action, fans, wrestlers and coaches are welcome to check out a series of clinics put on by some of California’s finest for free.
Saturday’s activities begin at 10 a.m. PT with a clinic from Jason Welch, a Walnut Creek, Calif., native and former NCAA finalist for Northwestern University. Following Welch will be three-time NCAA champion for Oklahoma State and 2004 Olympian Eric Guerrero, who now serves as the associate head coach for the Cowboys. Another former Cowboy will be featured that day in three-time All-American Nate Morgan, a product of Bakersfield. Finally, newly appointed Fresno State wrestling coach Troy Steiner will wrap up the day’s clinics from 1-2 p.m.
Sunday’s clinics feature another brilliant squad, including legendary coach Valentin Kalika, who coached Helen Maroulis and Elena Pirozhkova to the 2016 US Olympic Team as well as talented youngster Aaron Pico. Mark Munoz, a former UFC fighter and Oklahoma State wrestler, will host a clinic and signing session from 10-11:30 a.m. before US Open national champion and 2016 Olympic Trials finalist Victoria Anthony takes the mat in her clinic from 2-3 p.m. Closing out the day will be the Coach Kalika’s clinic from 3-4 p.m. Aaron Pico, will also provide a signing during this time.
In addition to the clinics, Fan Fest will have an exciting lineup of booths, offering experiences exclusive to World Cup goers. Fans can learn about an upcoming movie called American Wrestler: The Wizard, which is about an Iranian teenager in the 1980s who comes to the United States and finds his place in the wrestling room. Other booths include TMWC, Frank Jasper and Scott Glabb, California USA Wrestling, Wrestling Mart and many others. A complete list of booths can be found below.
Additionally, wrestlingmart.com offers $10 World Cup tickets to youth and high school wrestlers.
California USA Wrestling will have free World Cup shirts and face paintings to the first 300 members to enter the fan zone.
