Olympians Bisek and Thielke in UWW pre-Olympic rankings, Martinez represents at non-Olympic weight

Three U.S. Greco-Roman wrestlers cemented their names in the UWW pre-Olympic rankings, which were released today.
Andrew Bisek (Colorado Springs, Colo./Minnesota Storm/OTC) and Jesse Thielke (Germantown, Wis./New York AC/OTC) are the only 2016 Greco-Roman Olympians from the U.S. represented in the rankings.
Two-time World bronze medalist Bisek holds steady at No. 5 at 75 kg/165 lbs. Bisek has not competed since the Beat the Streets United in the Square dual, which was held in May.
2012 Junior World bronze medalist Thielke sits in the No. 19 spot at 59 kg/130 lbs. After winning the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials, he took silver at the 2nd World Olympic Qualifier to secure his spot in Rio.
Patrick Martinez (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army/WCAP) broke into the non-Olympic 80 kg/176 lbs. rankings at No. 17. Martinez has competed on several occasions this summer, bringing home bronze at both the Spanish Grand Prix and the Poland Open. In early June, he won the 80 kg title at the ASICS UWW University Nationals and will represent the U.S. at the World University Championships, set for October 25-30 in Corum, Turkey.
The other two U.S. Olympians, Robby Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC/OTC) at 130 kg/286 lbs. and Ben Provisor (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC/OTC) at 85 kg/187.5 lbs. are not ranked. Smith, who has competed in the last three World Championships, placed fifth in 2013 and 2015, while Provisor will be competing in his second Olympic Games for the United States.
