Eddie Klimara named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Dec. 20-26

Eddie Klimara of Joliet, Ill. was named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Dec. 20-26.
Klimara, a senior at Providence Catholic High School in New Lenox, Ill. won the title at 126 pounds at the highly respected Al Dvorak Memorial Tournament.
Klimara beat another top national prep star, Jack Hathaway of Iowa City West High School of Iowa, in the finals by a 7-2 score. It was one of the toughest weight classes in the event. Hathaway had defeated another top athlete, Jon Marmlejo of Montini earlier in the tournament.
Klimara had a No. 10 national ranking at 126 pounds in the Dec. 12, 2011 W.I.N. Magazine High School Rankings.
Klimara was a 2010 Junior Nationals freestyle champion for Illinois at 126 pounds. He was also third in the 2009 Cadet Nationals in freestyle at 119 pounds.
